HS Team Academic Decathlon
A team of up to nine students up through grades 12 compete work together across ten subjects and skills to showcase their interdisciplinary prowess for awards and scholarships.
The Academic Decathlon is a comprehensive multidisciplinary competition to encourage students to have broad knowledge and skills in a verdant world. Schools and associations create teams of up to nine students in grades 9 through 12 where their individual scores contribute to the team standings, much like team sports like archery or gymnastics. This rigorous competition features seven multiple-choice exams (Art, Economics, Music, Literature, Math, Science, Social Science) , three performance events (essay, speech and interview), and the thrilling Team Super Quiz Relay. By participating in the Decathlon, students experience the excitement of in-person competition, enhance their teamwork and communication skills, and represent their school at the highest level.
