HS Individual Academic Decathlon
Students can also participate independently to learn, develop, and complete the Academic Decathlon curriculum for awards and scholarships.
The Academic Decathlon is a comprehensive multidisciplinary competition to encourage students to have broad knowledge and skills in a verdant world. Individuals in grades 9 through 12 who have independent studies or do not have resources at their schools to create teams can work with Florida Academic Decathlon to participate independently in the pursuit of awards and scholarships. This rigorous competition features seven multiple-choice exams (Art, Economics, Music, Literature, Math, Science, Social Science) , three performance events (essay, speech and interview), and the thrilling Team Super Quiz Relay. By participating in the Decathlon, students experience the excitement of in-person competition, enhance their teamwork and communication skills, and represent themselves at the highest level.
